Following the move into a new building, no more primary energy has been required since financial year 2020/21 as heating is obtained via electricity. A move into a new, renovated building together with short-time working hours also saw secondary energy consumption decline in financial year 2020/21.

Following a move to a new, larger building, the specific energy and water consumption in financial year 2020/21 will have increased, while the volume of waste will likewise rise after the old location was departed. Water consumption (for sanitary facilities) will rise as the new location covers double the area. Leaving the old location will result in one-off increased waste volumes (disposal of renovation waste from the old building). |

With an increase in production volume of 27% and the introduction of a third production shift, the energy consumption per unit was almost the same as in the previous year. CO2 emissions per unit remained on a par with the prior year. By switching on a third steam boiler at the end of the financial year, water consumption per unit increased by 4%. |
